HUD Self-Portrait

I am a big collector of Civil Defense 1960's era Geiger counter's, dosimeters, and gas masks. I am very much into learning about Chernobyl and other nuclear related disasters, so I decided to focus my HUD on my historically driven hobby.

In my HUD I took a picture of all the various Civil Defense equipment I have collected through out the years. I was inspired by games such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl, Fallout 3 New Vegas, and Dark Falls Lost Souls when creating this HUD.

Basically I chose the spot where the construction crews unearthed the caskets of long lost souls and decided to use that as my center for radiation testing. My knowledge about radiation inspired me to create a cell mutation counter, as well as the HUD on the actual Geiger Counter itself, which counts the amount of milliroentgen that exists in the surrounding area. Below in the items list is the manual which acts as an in game journal, along side an iphone being used as a GPS, a dosimeter pen to read higher levels of radiation on clothes, water, and food, and of course a gas mask.

So the object of this HUD is to be prepared and protect yourself from acute radiation sickness.
